CONFIGURING BUTTON PANEL IN ROADBOOK APPLICATIONS

Many of you often ask us after purchasing a keypad, regardless of the brand, “why doesn’t my keypad work with Piste Roadbook, but it does with other apps?”

The answer is very simple… some apps allow you to configure the buttons individually to assign the desired function to each one.

Most apps that allow this configuration already come with a predefined standard configuration, so they already work with most controllers on the market… this is not the case with the Piste Roadbook app.

That’s why we’re going to give you a few simple steps so you can configure your keypad in this app.

To perform all these configurations, it’s obviously necessary to have the keypad synchronized via Bluetooth with the device (phone or tablet) beforehand:

On the main screen, at the bottom left, we will find the application settings icon. We will click on it.

Within the configuration menu, we will select the menu keys of the tripmeter section

Within this menu, we’ll tap the function we want to assign to a button (for example, +0.01), and the application will prompt us to tap the button we want to execute that function.

A standard configuration would be the one shown in the image.

Let’s now configure the functions for uploading and downloading roadbook notes. Go back to the previous menu and select keys from the roadbook section.

We proceed in the same way as in the previous menu: press the function you want to configure and then press the button that performs that function. In this case, we use the lever.

You can see a standard configuration in the image.

Below, we briefly explain the settings in the TOMOTO app. This app is also free and highly recommended.

Once you have selected the roadbook to navigate, click on the bottom right corner to enter the application’s configuration menu.

As you can see, this application is also very configurable… in this case to configure it, click on the mandos menu.

Click on the desired function. The app will wait for you to press the remote to record the desired action. Repeat this process for all buttons, and your remote will now be configured in TOMOTO.
